Rick Rifle had already carved out a successful career as a designer in New York City before bringing his creative energies to Los Angeles. Rick received a Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Production Design from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. There he was one of the most sought after design assistants with an unprecedented talent for drawing sketches by hand. His talents were put to use when requested to study under the best and the brightest in the New York design world of theatre, opera and film. Some of the people who instructed Rick were Desmond Heeley, John Conklin, Paul Steinberg and Carrie F. Robbins.
After earning his MFA in Design for Film and Stage, Rick assisted interior designers and set designers including Eduardo Scicangco, art directed independent films such as "An Argentine in New York", "April V" and "Swing City". He went on to set design six television projects including the 1998 Winter Olympics for CBS.
In 2003 the producers of the hit show Trading Spaces learned of Rick's design talent and cast him as one of the hosts for the show. Spring boarding from that experience, Rick moved on to the Fine Living Network and various shows over the past few years. Currently Rick is the host for HGTV's new Designing for the Sexes which is due to air in 2008.
Kristin Casey brings a fresh approach to true "Lifestyle Design".
An international modeling career originally fueled Kristin's love for architecture, design, food and travel. Eventually, her experiences helped her excel towards further studies in architecture and community planning at the University of Houston and later, Environmental Design studies at the OTIS/Parsons school of design in Los Angeles. Most importantly, her travels were key in raising her awareness of conditions and challenges throughout the world and encouraging her to direct more of her focus on eco-friendly design.
Kristin started her first company designing spaces and painting murals for children’s nurseries and bedrooms. The concept of “Bringing Nature In” through the eyes of children’s imaginations gave her an early start in developing her philosophies of “Green”, sustainable design.
Once moving to the west coast Kristin propelled her Eco-Design intentions into her own "lifestyle design" company, planning one of a kind weddings, Hollywood events, interior/exterior home design, and 10 major movie premieres including "The Aviator" where she also orchestrated a worldwide product launch for MAX FACTOR cosmetics.
Ultimately, Kristin began buying her own properties in the Los Angeles area and has become known for beautiful renovations, unique ground up builds, and eye popping landscape projects all with the environment in mind. She encourages all of her clients to invest in the future and shows them that little changes can make a big difference.
In 2005, being a young, female "flipper" attracted the attention of TLC's "Flip That House" where several of Kristin's properties were featured while she hosted and demonstrated her challenges. From this she has moved on to host several Fine Living shows and can currently be seen on HGTV's "Freestyle" as well.

*Special Thanks to Patrick de Vosjoli for putting this event together.
Heather Robinson moved from Littleton, Colorado to Tucson, Arizona in 1993. After graduating high school she went on to work for America Online. There she met actress and writer Carrie Fisher in an online chat room. Carrie eventually convinced Heather to write a screenplay based on her life as a teenager growing up with a single mother. In 2004, Heather sold her first screenplay titled, “The Perfect Man” to Universal Pictures. During the development of her film, Heather returned to Tucson and worked for KOLD-13 in National Sales. The script was “fast-tracked” into production and in 2005 had a world wide release starring Hilary Duff, Heather Locklear and Chris Noth. In 2006, Heather and her mother Jan, were special guests for the "Gathering of Hearts Illuminating Compassion" event in San Francisco. After meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, their desire to help people was immediately reinforced. Heather and Jan followed their hearts and started Refused Reused® in 2007.
(Due to the sensitivity of the "Gathering of Hearts Illuminating Compassion" event, security was elevated and photography was strictly limited. Please forgive the impromptu nature of the pictures below.)
Jan Robinson worked as a professional dog groomer before working for American Cablevision and ESPN in Colorado. After the move to Tucson, she focused on film and television both infront and behind the camera. Jan was a collaborator on “The Perfect Man” film since the story was also based on her life. During the production of the film, Jan was the Executive Assistant to Ray Depa the General Manager at KGUN-9. There she was in charge of publicity, tours and community involvement. In 2006, Jan left KGUN and decided to focus on the upcoming television and film projects through her and her daughter Heather's production company, Robinson Productions.
